I am a true believer that it's not the camera that makes the photographer, but the photographer that makes the camera. I have used Nikon exclusively since my beginnings in photography, however that may change at any time. My full frame DSLR works exceptionally well in all types of lighting and will provide the quality photos you desire.

When I work weddings, I always provide the option of having a second shooter, what I call an associate shooter, at your wedding. I encourage couples to opt for including my associate shooter in their wedding package as this provides flexibility in the schedule on the day of your wedding and adds another set of creative eyes on your wedding day.

I like to describe my style as timeless and straightforward. My photos represent the the day or moment my clients are in, and the colors I achieve are rich, yet authentic. I love to work in sunlight, shadows, sunsets, and the dark. I can adapt to nearly any situation. So while I prefer to work in natural light, I also utilize strobe lights and off camera flash for times that need them, such as wedding receptions and indoor photography where there's no window light. After filling out the contact form, I will reply to you as quickly as I can. I encourage you to be patient, as I also navigate home life with a family of five, teaching, and whatever else life throws my way. My hope is to reply to you within 48 hours, but that doesn't always happen.

Once you become a client with a signed contract and a paid retainer (Yes, a contract. It tells you exactly what you receive from your session, as well as what you can expect from me. The retainer holds our session date together.), you'll get my personal number to contact me for all the things that are important to achieving your perfect session. We discuss things like wardrobe choices, color choices, detailed times and we pick a location together for your session.

I enjoy photography and the uncomplicated nature I bring to each session. During your session, we will laugh a lot together as I have you move about or simply encourage and prompt you to move to the beat of your own drum. I like to make your session feel as seamless as possible.

After your session you can expect a gallery link sent to your email within 2 weeks time, depending on what kind of session it is. Wedding galleries take anywhere from 8-16 weeks to complete, depending on the level of detail required in editing.

One hour session galleries typically take two weeks to edit and deliver to you. On very rare occasions, they may take a week longer.

Wedding galleries can take anywhere from 8-16 weeks to complete. This also depends on the length of your wedding day, as well as the amount of photos I choose to edit and deliver. I want to be sure your wedding day photos are perfect for your viewing and printing. I want to treat your wedding day photos with my utmost care.

Of course my desire is to complete your gallery in a timely manner, however I cannot account for acts of God that do happen and increase delivery time. But I do promise to do my best.

I love to travel for sessions. Check with me if you are planning an elopement, are out of the state of Virginia and want me to travel to you, or want me to travel overseas for your special occasion.

There are certain times of year I offer mini sessions. These sessions are usually themed, like Christmas mini sessions or flower garden sessions, and they are priced accordingly. Mini sessions do not necessarily mean cheaper in price, but the price does reflect the amount of time and effort that will be placed on the session itself. Mini sessions are less than 30 minutes in time and are typically announced on my social media pages. So be on the lookout for those.

All galleries are delivered via a link to an online gallery. Within this online platform you can easily download your photos to your computer with a code, as well as order professional prints.
